After several decades at the Aspmyra stadium, Bodø/Glimt will now build a new stadium that will accommodate both the city's elite league team in football, other sports, organizations and events.
 

The stadium will also ensure increased spectator capacity than at Aspmyra, and will be able to accommodate up to 10,000 in the stands for the football field.
 

The project has high environmental ambitions in terms of material use, energy supply and functional content. The plan is to lower the stadium into the ground so that it can blend into the landscape in a natural way. In order to optimize energy flow and reduce consumption, renewable energy sources, storage and intelligent management systems must also be implemented.
 

The goal is for the arena to be self-sufficient in electricity and heat for the daily operation of several sports facilities, except on match days for Bodø/Glimt. Reuse of surface materials such as floors, walls, panels, windows and doors from other local demolition projects is used to reduce material requirements and the CO2 footprint in both production and transport.
